Cashews, peanuts/groundnuts, which one is best?
This is a question that has been asked since the earliest days of mankind. It’s a question that has plagued explorers and scientists alike.
The answer? Neither! Both cashews and peanuts are great nuts and can satisfy your hunger all day long. They’re both great for snacking, adding to salads or just eating plain with a glass of milk (if you’re into that sort of thing).
But if we had to choose between the two for one simple reason, we would say cashews are better for you than peanuts!
That’s right, cashews have more nutrients than peanuts. Cashews contain less fat and cholesterol than peanuts do, which means they’re healthier for your heart too! When it comes down to it, nuts are nuts.
Cashews are a great source of protein, and they have high levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They’re also known to be good for your heart and can help lower blood pressure.
Groundnuts/peanuts contain more calories than cashews, but they’re still a good source of protein. Groundnuts/peanuts are also rich in healthy fats, which can help keep you full longer.
Cashews are more expensive but they do not have a lot of calories, unlike peanuts.
Cashews are a bit more expensive than peanuts, but they’re full of goodness and flavour. The main reason that cashews cost a little more is that it takes five pounds of raw cashews to produce just one pound of shelled cashews.
With that being said, go ahead and eat whatever nut suits your fancy today!
